History Repeating: Senate Passes Bill Making Daylight Savings Permanent
Apparently, politicians unaware America has "been there, done that" and hated it
We have been here before…
This week many Americans let out a resounding cheer when they heard that the Senate unanimously passed a bill making daylight savings permanent. What these same Americans may NOT have known was that the USA tried this before and it didn’t last.
Like the plot of the movie Groundhog Day, we find ourselves repeating a familiar chain of events. It’s the 1970’s all over again! There are issues in the energy sector causing pain at the pump, trucker convoys hitting the streets in protest against government policy, inflation is soaring and politicians are passing legislation that has been tried and discarded before.
