Who Killed Terry Yeakey?
Nearly 30 years after the Oklahoma City bombing, questions surrounding an officer's death hit the "mainstream"
This week marks the somber anniversaries of some dark events in recent American history - the Waco massacre, OKC bombing, Boston Marathon bombing and Columbine.
As a teenager in the ‘90s, I bought the carefully crafted narratives of Waco and OKC without question. I was still too young to consider the politics of why the news and public officials would obfuscate or outright lie about violent events. I certainly did not grasp the hidden agendas of the power players involved. As an adult, I find myself revisiting and reflecting on the media coverage, my beliefs about it at the time versus now in juxtaposition with the hidden evidence waiting to be found if you have the stomach to look.
CNN recently published an investigative piece on the controversial death of Oklahoma City police officer, Terry Yeakey, in the aftermath of his efforts at the OKC bombing that is a must-read.
There are so many hidden heroes in this world whose names we may never know. Please take some time to know this one.
